The self-service platform allows LTC providers of any type, including home care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and adult day care centers, to digitally update key information such as licensure, coverage areas and insurance credentials, enabling streamlined online communication with LTCG. Prior to the launch of ProviderHub, updates to this information were handled through paper mailings and faxes.

Electronic data collected via ProviderHub is stored in LTCG’s Unified Provider Database (UPD), the largest repository of LTC provider information in the industry. Through this new electronic portal, providers can ensure the most current profile attributes and licensing documentation (as required by each individual state) are displayed in the database. UPD is used by many of the leading LTC insurers as well as LTCG’s claims team to improve the provider selection process for policyholders and expedite payment for the 65,000 claims that LTCG currently administers. The ability for providers to make self-service updates to this robust database reduces turnaround times for initial eligibility decisions, and will support the future enablement of electronic billing by LTCG.
In addition to the UPD, ProviderHub will allow other LTCG platforms, like the newly launched policyholder portal, to stay current with provider data as well. Policyholders seeking information about skilled nursing facilities, home care, assisted living facilities, and adult day care centers will also benefit in receiving the most current information supplied through ProviderHub.
